Roberts Dining Hall is an all-you-care-to-eat location that will feature a mix of cooked-to-order and self-service concepts. Based on student feedback Roberts will offer an array of carefully crafted Globally Inspired foods from around the world. Since Roberts is already a destination for athletes, we will also design menus around foods that will enhance their particular performance and nutrition needs. “In Balance” meals will be highlighted focusing on lean meats, whole grains, legumes, and fresh vegetables.

ECO-TO-GO
HOW TO JOIN ECO-TO-GO
Eco-To-Go is a Dining Services program that provides faculty, staff, and students with reusable take out containers (eco-containers).
HOW TO JOIN
Eco-To-Go program registration and eco-container pick up will take place in Dana, Robert’s, or Foss during normal dining hours.
There is no cost to join the program and receive an initial eco-container. Replacement eco-containers cost $5.00 each. Guests must present their Colby ID to pick up a container. Participants of the Eco-To-Go program must sign a policy agreement.
Information for Students with Allergies
Serving Students with Food Allergies and Celiac Disease
The dining services team is well-trained in food allergy awareness and offer a number of options for students with food allergies and celiac disease. This includes communication about and modification to existing menu items, special preparation of menu items, and access to special products as agreed upon with students. Additionally, Dana does not use peanuts or tree nuts, but does include coconut as an ingredient in preparation of menu items. Dana also offers an allergen friendly, self-sufficient separate kitchen for those granted special access through Support Services. Students with disabilities on the basis of food allergies have the option to pre-order their lunch and dinner daily from the dining halls. Students wishing to use the pre-order options should reach out to any of the Bon Appétit employees below to set up a time to meet.
Daily menus for each café can be accessed at colby.cafebonappetit.com. Menu items that are appropriate options for most students with celiac disease are labeled as “made without gluten-containing ingredients” and can be filtered to streamline searching using the dietary preferences filter. Top-9 allergens are included in menu names and/or descriptions whenever possible. For more on eating with a food allergy in our café, visit this page. Further questions about ingredients can be answered by our trained managers/chefs on-site.
*Sesame is now the 9th major allergen. However, manufacturers have until 1/2023 to update package labels. Our platform will exclude added sesame in the form of seeds, tahini (sesame paste), and sesame oil, but sources of sesame may not be detectable on package labels. Please speak with a manager if you have a sesame allergy.

Pack-out Orders
Colby Dining is happy to provide pack-out meals for meal plan holders unable to attend regularly scheduled meals due to class conflicts, work or illness. Each meal requested will be deducted from the student’s meal plan as if the student was eating a meal in the café. Students should pick up meals within an hour of the designated time. Students picking up meals for an ill student must present a valid ID card to verify their identity.
